Godzilla Vs. My Ex-Girlfriends
A short one act comedy in development.
Staged reading produced through The TRUF Theatre Company at Jimmys No. 43 on Monday, March 19th at 9pm.
Godzilla Vs. My Ex-Girlfriends is a darkly comedic fantasia of carnage in one act. The piece opens with Godzilla rampaging across New York City. Meanwhile, Josh runs and escapes under some rubble downstage to avoid the deadly radioactive fire breath. While hiding, Josh keeps running into a series of his ex-girlfriends as literally every other fleeing New Yorker seems to be a woman from his past.
As the humans try and survive, Godzilla frequently chats with the audience to dish about his own love affairs; from grunge chick Hedorah, to the poly relationship with the three-in-one monster King Ghidorah.
